NUCCA Technique

How Does NUCCA Work?

NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) is one of the most scientifically researched, precise and gentle techniques in all of chiropractic. NUCCA may help you feel better regardless of your circumstances, or prior disappointments with other treatments or surgeries.

NUCCA balances the body as a unit. In a nutshell, where the head goes, the whole body follows. Therefore, accidents or injuries that throw the head off center cause the spine and body to bend, stretch and compress. This leads to a disruption in nerve flow. As a result, the body does not work the way it’s designed to work.

Although Dr. Pietrek does his work from the neck area, he first analyzes your whole spine to see if there is an imbalance related to brain and body communication.

If it is determined that you have significant body imbalance, a detailed set of X-Rays is performed and carefully analyzed. Since the adjustments are so light and gentle, the X-Ray analysis helps us be as specific as possible. This is because the more specific the adjustment, the better your results!

NUCCA is gentle, safe, and does not involve any twisting, popping or “cracking” of the neck or spine.

Dr. Pietrek does not “treat” any medical conditions. Other than a miracle, only your body’s inborn healing mechanisms can truly heal your body. With this in mind, NUCCA has helped numerous peoples’ bodies heal from the following:
