Jim started his care with us a little over a month ago. He just picked back up on running about three months ago, but had been limited with lower back pain and left knee pain.

Now, not only are his lower back and knee feeling much better, he is also looking forward to a 6-mile uphill race very soon and is looking forward to a triathalon at the end of the year. Jim also told us that 7 out of his 10 co-workers have been out sick for several days, but he is feeling great.

I showed him a flow chart on how the brainstem has several relay stations that feed directly into the neurological control centers for our immune system. It seems like this was an added (and surprising bonus) to this gentle and effective method of “pain relief”.

Back Pain- Rancho Bernardo

Whether it’s in the lower, middle, or upper we want to help with your back pain. Dr. Pietrek has worked with many people suffering from back pain, from Rancho Bernardo and all over the San Diego area. Back pain once in awhile after a hard workout or a long day doing yard work is completely normal, but if it doesn’t go away, it’s time to get it checked. There are multiple causes of back pain that range from a muscle strain to arthritis to something more complicated like scoliosis.

Ours is a structural approach to pain relief and better body function. We focus our exam on the entire body, especially the spine and, more specifically the brainstem area. That is because an imbalance in the top of the spine can cause back pain in. Our spinal adjustments (using the NUCCA technique) are super safe, specific and gentle; they’re designed to free up nerve pressure and stimulate your own body’s healing response.
